N.B. All federated search settings are controlled through the widget. In order to make changes or add new search areas, you first need to add a federated search widget to a page within SmartSuite.
If you don't already have a federated search widget configured onto a page, please view the Adding a federated search container instructions first.
1. Navigate to a page with a Federated Search Widget already configured.
2. Enter into Settings Mode by clicking ->.
3. Scroll until you see your federated search container and click the icon.
4. From the settings pop-out click the button.
5. From the drop-down next to , select New Search Area.
6. Once the New Search Area has been selected, you will need to complete the fields for the z39.50 datasource OR API you wish to search.
7. Click to save the details.
8. Now that your new search area has been configured, you can now add a new search container to your page.
