In this article you'll be shown how print a spine label report directly from global cataloguing after bulk importing a set of books.
1. Click -> Configuration -> Global Functions.
2. Click the button next to and select Default Spine Label.
3. Choose the Spine Label format you want to print from the drop down menu then press Save.
4. Enter the copy information you would like to assign to the copies you are about to import.
5. Click .
6. Place the cursor into the ISBN field at the top of the screen.
7. Scan the books ISBN followed by the books assigned Barcode.
Consecutively scan the ISBN and Barcode of each book. There is no requirement to pause OR click submit between books.
8. If your import has been successful, SmartSuite will display an message.
9. If your import hasn't been successful, SmartSuite will highlight the progress in Red and will display the reason within the progress bar.
10. Once finished importing, press the to generate the spine label report. This will open a new tab.
11. Press Print/Export to download the report as a PDF
12. Open the downloaded report with a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat
13. Find and press the print button in the PDF viewer and make sure 'Actual Size' and 'Choose paper source by PDF page size' are checked.
14. Press Print.
