No SCIS Record? No Problem.
We’ve all been there. You scan a brand-new book into Global Catalogue… and nothing comes up. No record.
Now what?
Most schools either:
- Log into SCIS, submit a request, and wait for it to be processed
- Or worse—put the book aside, waiting days (or weeks) before it can even hit the shelf
That means delays, admin time, and wasted value sitting in a pile.
But now there’s a better way.
With our new exclusive SCIS integration, if a title isn’t available, SmartSuite will ask if you want to request it—right then and there.
✅ One click to submit to SCIS
✅ We create a temporary record so it can be loaned immediately
✅ The full SCIS record is added automatically when it’s ready
No more bouncing between systems. No more piles of uncatalogued books.
Just scan, click, and your books are ready to go.
