If you have an item in your collection that you would like to add to a series, there are two ways of doing this:
- Manually assign the item to a series in Catalogue
- Update the record using Quick Import
Manually assigning series in Catalogue
- Navigate to Catalogue
2. Load up the item you want to add series information to.
3. Navigate to the Series tab
4. In the Series field, choose the series you’d like to link to this copy from the drop-down menu.
5. Save your changes
Update the record using Quick Import
- Navigate to Catalogue
2. Load up the catalogue item you want to add series information for.
3. If the series information is included in the SCIS catalogue details, you can update the series information on this record using, Quick Import.
You can verify if an item has series information as part of it's SCIS catalogue details by:
- Heading to your online SCIS account
- Finding the record in the SCIS database
- Selecting, 'View MARC Record'.
From here, look for tags 490 or 830, depending on how you want series information displayed.
