Configuring SmartSuite v4.1's LTI for SchoolBox

This article details the steps to configure SmartSuite v4.1's LTI within the SchoolBox platform to embed TV4Education videos and Catalogue Records (Books, eBooks, Journals, Assets etc into a SchoolBox lesson).

Prerequisites

Prior to the below steps you must contact the FSI Customer Service team and request the following for your SchoolBox LTI Integration: 

a) Configuration XML 

b) LTI Key

c) LTI Secret

Without the above information, you will be unable to complete the integration setup. 

Process

Once you have acquired the XML, Key and Secret from the FSI Customer Service team, you can continue with the setup steps. 

1) Log into your SchoolBox portal with an account that has administrative privileges 

2) Click your Profile Icon in the top right-corner

3) Click Administration

4) From the menu on the left of the screen, click LMS -> LTI Tools

5) To add a new LTI for SmartSuite, click the icon above the list of existing LTI Tools

6) Complete the field as follows: 

Name: SmartSuite

Version: 1.1

Configuration XML URL: Paste the XML URL provided by FSI's Customer Service Team

Icon URL: www.functionalsolutions.com.au/logos/fsi_logo.png

Consumer Key: Paste the LTI Key provided by FSI's Customer Service Team

Consumer Secret: Paste the LTI Secret provided by FSI's Customer Service Team

LTI Request Type: Basic Launch

Target: iFrame

7) Click

You can now add Catalogue Records and TV4Education records to your schoolbox lessons.
