In this article you will be shown how to set up a connection from Entra to SmartSuite to sync patrons from Entra to SmartSuite or TV4Education.
- Navigate to the Microsoft Entra admin portal

Click on App Registrations

Click New Registration

Enter in the name for the registration. Something like FSI - SmartSuite or FSI - TV4Education.

Under Supported account types make sure Accounts in any organizational directory (Any Microsoft Entra ID tenant - Multitenant) Is selected.

Under Redirect URI section make sure you set it to "Web" and past the following URL into the URL field.
https://auth.functionalsolutions.com.au/SMLIB_WEB_SAMLLoginController.aspx - Click Register.
You will now be taking the to the app page itself. Here you will add API permissions and get the API details that are needed in SmartSuite.

Once you have the new App Registration up click on API permissions then click on Add a permission

From the options available you wnat to find Microsoft Graph.

Under Microsoft Graph Click on Application Permissions

A list of permissions will appear. Scroll down until you find the option User click on the down arrow next to it to expand the field then select User.Read.All then click Add Permission.
Then find the option of Directory expand it the Find the option Directory.Read.All and select it then click Update Permissions.
Once you have added this oping to the API Permissions you will see that the status is not granted for functionalsolutions.com.au.

You will need to click Grant admin consent for functionalsolutions.com.au then confirm the consent.
**Please note - If Grant admin consent for functionalsolutions.com.au is greyed out and you cannot click on it, you are NOT logged in as a administrator. (User with Full access)**
Now that the permissions have been set. Lets get the API detials that you will need for SmartSuite / TV4Education.

Click on Certificates & Secrets then +New client secret

In the description enter something like this:
Description: FSI_Patron_Import
Expires: Set it to a date period that you are comfortable with.
- Grab the Value from the new client secret you just created. This will be the Client Secret in SmartSuite
- Grab the Application (client) ID from the overview page of your new App Registration. This will be the Client Id in SmartSuite
- Grab the Directory (tenant) ID from the Overview page as well. This will be the Tenant ID in SmartSuite.
Setting the details into SmartSuite.

From the Menu select Settings >> System Settings.
- Select Patron Sync
- Expand the Patron Sync Setting and select Azura Entra from the drop down.

Enter the details from step 7 above.
- Click Continue
- The system will then show you two examples that you can checl to make sure it is correct.

Click Continue
The data flow between Entra and SmartSuite is now active. To disable the data flow, Click Stop Data Flow.
