To ensure your Authority File Tables remain clean, SmartSuite doesn't keep authority files that aren't assigned to active records.
Adding an authority file is performed by creating the authority when assigning it to a catalogue record:
1. Click -> Catalogue -> Catalogue.
2. Find the title you want to assign the new authority file to by clicking from the toolbar at the bottom of the window.
3. Click the authority file tab you want to add.
4. Begin typing your new authority file into the New field for your selected file.
5. Click the + icon.
