Overview,
Do you have some PDF files or recorded school plays that you want to upload to SmartSuite so that your teachers and students can access them at any time and from anywhere? Follow the steps below.
1. Click -> Catalogue -> Catalogue.
You will need to create or find the catalogue record you wish to upload the multimedia file to.
Follow the steps in the link below to add your new catalogue record.
1. Click -> Catalogue -> Catalogue.
2. From the toolbar at the bottom of the window, click the up arrow (^) on the +New button.
3. Select New Title from the options.
SmartSuite will create a new blank record.
4. Begin completing the fields for your new title.
5. Select URL from the catalogue tabs and click on the button.
The File Upload module will appear.
6. Make sure that your personal folder is selected by clicking on your name.
7. Find your file and drag it into the dotted section.
The file will be uploaded.
You can then add this as a link to a catalogue record.
1. Find or create a new record you would like to attach this file to.
2. In the catalogue click on the URL tab
3. Add the URL in the URL filed
4. Add in a Description, This is important as this is what will appear in the search for users to click on.
8. Click to save the record.
You can now search for the item on the school's collection.
