We’re excited to help you begin your move from Bookmark to SmartSuite Library.
As part of your onboarding journey, our team will need a current backup of your Bookmark data, along with an item status count report. These files help our conversion team prepare your library information carefully and accurately before it is brought into SmartSuite Library.
What we need from you
To begin your conversion, please provide:
- A current Bookmark backup folder
- An Item Status Count Report from Bookmark
Creating your Bookmark backup
If you know how to run a manual backup in Bookmark, please do that now.
Once the backup has been completed, you should be able to find the Bookmark backup folder on your library server.
If you’re not sure which server is the Bookmark server, please check with your IT team.
Checking you have the correct backup folder
To make sure you have the correct folder, open it and check that the required Bookmark files are included.
Please also confirm that the file DATA.BMD has an up-to-date Date modified date.
This helps ensure our team receives the latest version of your Bookmark data.
Preparing the backup for upload
Once you have confirmed that you have the correct folder, you will need to zip it. This compresses the folder, making it smaller and easier to upload.
Windows 11
Go back to the backup folder, right-click on the folder, select Compress to, then choose ZIP file.
Below windows 11 - Right click the folder and select send to >> select Compressed (zipped) folder.
Exporting the Item Status Count Report
The last thing we need is the Item Status Count Report from Bookmark.
To export this report, follow the steps shown below.
Uploading your files
Once you have both the zipped Bookmark backup folder and the Item Status Count Report, upload them using the secure upload link included in your SmartSuite Library onboarding email.
