1. Finding a Program’s Rating
When you browse TV4Education, each program card shows its details:
Title, duration, and broadcast date.
At the bottom of each card, you’ll see the classification rating (e.g., G, PG, M, MA, R, or CTC).
-
Example:
A program might show “PG” inside the box.
This means the program has been rated Parental Guidance.
2. Understanding Video Classification Security
Each classification has a security level attached to it. This determines who can view the program.
Security 50 → Staff Only
(e.g., M, MA, R, CTC, and “No Rating” are set to 50. Only staff accounts can view these.)-
Security 0–49 → Available to Students, depending on their year level.
Year 7 students = Security 7
Year 8 students = Security 8
Year 9 students = Security 9
… and so on.
This means:
If a video is rated PG with a security of 9, students in Year 9 and above can view it.
If a video is rated M with a security of 50, only teachers/staff can view it.
3. Sharing Programs with Students
Sometimes, you may want to show a video to a class even if it sits outside their security rating.
Teachers can manually share a program with a year level so it becomes available to them.
