Why You Need to Disable Network Card Sleep
Some devices, particularly laptops and power-managed desktops, have power-saving settings that put the network card to sleep when idle. This can cause issues with SmartSuite, as:
-
Timed-out Connections May Appear Active: The system might look operational, but any transactions won’t be recorded correctly until the page is refreshed and the network card wakes up.
-
Interrupted Sessions: Users may experience delays in processing transactions or unexpected disconnections from SmartSuite services.
-
Loss of Data Synchronization: Actions performed while the network card is asleep may not be properly sent to SmartSuite, leading to inconsistencies.
If you are experiencing issues where you notice anomalistic behavior, such as circulation transactions not recording correctly, catalogue items not saving, or system inactivity after being idle for a few minutes, we recommend trying the following steps.
