This article details how to prepare and upload your patron csv file to your Mailbox so the FSI Team can complete your Patron Import on your behalf.
Preparing your CSV file
- Ensure your csv file has the following patron data as a pre-requisite for completing a Patron Import:
- First Name
- Surname
- Classgrade
- Homeroom
- Barcode (consistent with SmartSuite or TV4Education)
- Email Address (Optional for students)
2. Save your file with as Comma Separated Values (CSV) format.
This formatting helps the system read and organise your patron data.
Uploading your CSV to the Mailbox
- Head to the System Menu > Mailbox.
- Select Create a Ticket and specify the ticket's subject.
- Select the Upload button & select your csv file from the File Explorer window.
- After your CSV file is attached to your ticket, you can write additional information in the Message field.
- When you are happy with your ticket, you can select the Send Arrow to send your message.
What to do after the import is complete
- After the FSI Team has completed the Patron Import, they will contact your directly via the Mailbox.
- We recommend that you go through and review your patrons to ensure that everything looks right on your end.
